Coolant over temp?

2012 legacy, sitting in line to pick the kid up today and my A/C goes to NOTHING and the coolant light(the one that’s blue in the left corner when you start the car) started flashing red. Turned it off. Checked the coolant(full). Turned it back on. No more light and the A/C works just fine. Is this the start of my head gaskets going or what? I’m at a total loss. Please help.
