I traded in my daily for a 2015 Forester back in December after I had to say goodbye to 87 4runner that would take me anywhere on the roughest roads out there.
The vehicle served me beautifully since I quit my job in December and left for four months to experience the pnw but stayed on developed roads and the smother dirt roads. I am not expecting to be able to take it on the the same roads as the 4runner could but I definitely want to hear what A/T tires you all recommend and what difficult overlanding trails and rough forest roads you have traveled with it. do you feel comfortable taking it on moderately difficult trails?
Mostly I just want to be able to drive deep on the rough dirt and rocky forest roads to get a away and not worry so i would appreciate hearing some experience anyone may have? I been back to work for a couple months and they just added even more overtime to our work weeks so it's possible I'll hit the road again soon but I want to be better prepared next time!
