I ordered a 2015 WRX with limited trim three months ago. Yesterday I finally got the call that it was in. I was super excited. SUPER EXCITED. I scheduled to pick 'er up at 10:00AM this morning. I could hardly wait, three months doesn't sound bad, but really, this had been years coming. I even had bought a manual a few years back so I could learn to drive stick knowing that I'd one day own the WRX.
Well, I get to the dealership, and sit down at the dealer's desk. He says, "Lets go check it out, shall we?"
I follow the guy out to the lot where he starts looking around for my car. He says, "They must have moved it on me." and continues looking. Eventually he spots it. We walk up. I'm standing there grinning like a fool, practically drooling on the car, when the dealer takes a peek in the window and his face pales. He looks down and starts looking around the lot again. "This isn't yours." he says.
I laugh thinking its a joke, but he isn't laughing. He looks around a bit more before leading me back inside. He had seen a GBP WRX on the truck the day before and assumed it was mine. Mine is still not in. Such hope, such excitement, such let down.
Today is a sad day.
