Post Body

I bought an 09 Forester two years ago from an independent Subaru only mechanic/used dealer. He replaced the head gaskets before I bought it. I bought it at about 127xxx miles and its now around 142xxx miles. I have had a problem of the coolant boiling over and the car overheating. I replaced the thermostat about a month ago and the problem still happens. I took it to my mechanic (not the subaru one since I moved) and they said they couldn't figure it out and it is most likely a head gasket issue.

Has anyone had this or a similar issue? Should I replace them myself? Should I have a shop do it?
