Cracked Oil Pan Repair

Post Body

My lowered 2005 legacy gt has a crack in the corner of the oil pan (for obvious reasons); my go to shop quoted me about $1250 (other places were 1500-2000) to replace it since the motor needs to be lifted out partway, but also offered to replace my valve cover gaskets for no additional labor while the engine is moved. Is this something I can fix with JB weld or equivalent? This isnt a large crack down or across the oil pan, I can easily do my own oil change but any other suggestions for a self fix? No problem paying them for their work but seems a little extreme for just an oil pan.
