if it in fact, isn't the result of cognitive decline, then his lack of cogency is the result of his stutter getting noticeably worse recently. if so, then why is that? for what reason could his stutter have gotten worse, that doesn't relate to his mind? is he really nervous? is he dealing with a lot of stress?

as for the journalists it's more unnerving. As Glenn Greenwald notes it's a sign of how obsequious they are. Whether it's because they are dealing with the same ideology forcing them to justify biden's inarticulateness (that I noted above), or it's because the democrats told them not to make noise about it, the function is the same. They won't scrutinize biden when he deserves scrutiny.
