See it's not even the references I have a problem with. Millenials refusing to grow up is just A Thing like GenX smoking like chimneys or the weird obsession with gelatin (mirrored with the modern obsession with resin crafts) we've had. What annoys me is being unable to find the right framework for the right situation.
It's not for the benefit of the Undecideds. It's to motivate low-mobility voters and marginalize the other side.
Sorta. If you squint you could point out that "Events" in Marvel refer to major story arcs (often involving crossovers) that get pushed whenever sales flag, but I don't think they know that much about print comics.
 How do you explain an anthropologists job to a 5yo btw? I would struggle.
I study traditions and why people come up with them. Then launch into a brief explanation of what went into the various aspects of Christmas.

Everyone whose job can't be explained to a five year old.
It's easy to explain what an occupational therapist, oncologist, farmer, metallurgist, event promoter or anthropologist does but there's a vast demographic of middle class fake-job havers whose occupation sounds I'm Doing Business In The Business Place even to adults. Fake jobs lead to fake decisions based on fake importance.
