Twitter & Reddit CRAVE to be genteel British petty nobility who have cultured charity luncheons to help bring food & the word of Christ to their wayward lessers.
Everything they do makes sense when you see it through that lens.
(And conversely they Lash. O-U-T. at locals doing those jobs. "Learn to code" and "level up" are very common sentiments).
