Hey everyone, /u/demonicsnail aka Elo Bandit here to share with you
THE GREATEST METAGAME ANALYSIS OF ALL TIME
so sit back, relax, and grab a drink because you're going to learn a thing or two about Showdown's Other Metagame, 1v1.
If you've never played this tier before or aren't super familiar with it, watch my introduction to 1v1. In this video, I cover all the basics of the tier and what you can expect to see starting out and what you can expect once you get good. I also talk about why this tier is so much fun to play despite being very different from every other metagame Showdown offers. While this is more of a basic instructional/informational video, it still has lots of good info about the tier.
Once you've got the basics down (or if you already knew what you were doing and don't need no man tellin' you no basics), the next video I made covers the psychology behind playing the tier and laddering successfully. All tips and tricks are from my own personal experience of thousands of 1v1 matches (and topping the ladder). Even if you are already a frequent player of 1v1, I'm sure you can get some helpful information out of this video.
Finally, the first bit of my last video goes over the strategy behind successful teambuilding, while the last bit goes over every single pokemon you're likely to come across while playing the ladder. While this video is the longest, it's also jam packed with genuinely useful information regarding teambuilding and meta pokemon. I include usable sets for every pokemon I talk about and there are exportable sets in the video description.
Please let me know what you thought of my Metagame Analysis, and tell me if you learned something! Of course, all feedback is HUGELY appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.
