Post Body

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some help finishing my volt turn team for OU. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Here's the team so far:

Pyrokinesis (Victini) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Final Gambit/Zen Headbutt
- U-turn

Scarfed Victini murders just about anything with V-Create. Bolt Strike is here for water and flying types, U-Turn is for momentum and escaping bad matchups. I used to run Zen Headbutt but never really ended up using it so I switched it to Final Gambit thinking that might work in more situations.

Bogs Binny (Diggersby) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Huge Power
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Knock Off
- U-turn

My second scarfer, the legendary Diggersby! Together with Victini, the two outspeed and rip apart the majority of OU. The set is fairly self explanatory - duel STAB, Knock Off, and U-Turn to pivot.

Safety Scizor (Scizor-Mega) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Atk / 164 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
- Pursuit
- U-turn

My defensive Scizor is here to switch into physical attacks that Victini and Diggersby don't want to take, shrug them off with Roost, and slowly (hence the 0 speed IVs) U-Turn back into the proper scarfer. Pursuit is to catch fast psychic and ghost types that can otherwise be annoying, and Bullet Punch is Scizor's bread and butter. 92 Atk EVs means it can 2hko defensive Clefable through Leftovers recovery.

Mewlad (Mew) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Will-O-Wisp
- Soft-Boiled
- Super Fang
- U-turn

This is my other slow pivot that I use to sponge special attacks, heal up with Soft-Boiled, and U-Turn back into my fast pokemon. Will-O cripples physical attackers and Super Fang softens up bulkier targets for the scarfers to obliterate. I could consider using Stealth Rock if I don't add a separate rocker onto the team.

Dundurus (Thundurus) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch

This is my fast Volt Switch for now. I used to use Mega Manectric but dropped it in favor of M-Scizor as a better pivot. I'm open to suggestions but I do like having a Prankster on the team. I'm considering swapping Thunderbolt for Thunder Wave to cripple faster opposing pokemon (ZardX cleans this team up pretty well), but I'd like to keep Taunt to deal with stall and setup, Volt Switch (of course), and HP Ice since I have no ice attacks on the team without it.

What should my last pokemon be? Stealth Rocker, offensive pivot, setup mon, sweeper, a third scarfer? Let me know what you think! I'd also love to hear any changes to my existing team. Thanks for reading!
