Hey everyone! With Diglett being suspect tested and likely banned, I've been thinking about other partners for one of my favorite LC mons: Zigzagoon. ZigDig used to be a fantastic core since Diglett could remove the pesky Rock and Steel types Zigzagoon struggles with, then Memento out and let Ziggy Belly Drum and sweep with ESpeed. With Diglett gone, I've been looking at other partners for Ziggy and here's what I have so far:

Zigzagoon @ Berry Juice
Ability: Pickup
Level: 5
EVs: 52 HP / 196 Atk / 28 Def / 188 SpD / 36 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Extreme Speed
- Thief
- Protect

Standard BD Zigzagoon. Thief hits ghosts and takes items, Espeed hits everything else. Protect blocks Fake Outs and High Jump kicks, and I prefer it over Seed Bomb. EVs max out attack and let it survive Abra's Psychic.

Zorua @ Life Orb
Ability: Illusion
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Memento

The point of Zorua is to send him out disguised as Zigzagoon so when the opponent sends out their Ziggy check, Zorua can kill it with Sucker/Knock Off. Memento is so Zigzagoon can come out and set up immediately after Zorua reveals itself, and U-Turn provides momentum if I don't want to try to sweep yet. I'm considering using Scarfed Zorua with Pursuit or Aerial Ace in place of Sucker Punch. The upside is I outspeed threats without Sucker Punch and I don't have to worry about Life Orb chip damage appearing the net time I send him out. The downside is I can't use Memento immediately after taking out an opponent, I'm locked into a move. I'd love input on the best option for Zorua here.

EVs: 140 HP / 180 Atk / 100 Def / 52 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Parting Shot
- Zen Headbutt

Pancham hits Rock and Steel types that Ziggy can't. Zen Headbutt hits Fighting Types and Knock Off is good general utility. Parting Shot is like a mini-memento that lets me switch into Zigzagoon (or Zorua disguised as Zigzagoon!) and set up (or remove another threat).

Mons I still need:

A good, reliable lead that can set up Rocks and take out other leads.

A secondary switch-in to weaken opponents (especially Rocks, Steels, and Ghosts) after my lead goes down.

A general counter mon to take out common threats (Fletchling might work here).
