My newest OU team. Tear it apart!
Post Body

So here's my team. I'm sitting comfortably around the 1400 range but feel it could be improved (especially with Azumarill). Any criticism is more than welcome.

Haxorus @ Life Orb

Ability: Mold Breaker

EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe

Adamant Nature

  • Dragon Claw

  • Dragon Dance

  • Earthquake

  • Poison Jab

The lead sweeper of my team, Haxorus cover a lot of bases for me. After a Dragon Dance, not many things can take a hit from him, especially not super effectively. OHKOing Garchomps, Dragonites, Mawhile, Heatran, Aegislash, the list goes on. The biggest threat to him is Choice Scarf Garchomp. ScarfChomp is still fast enough to OHKO with a Dragon Claw especially after Life Orb recoil.

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite

Ability: Trace

EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD

Modest Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

  • Hyper Voice

  • Thunderbolt

  • Psychic

  • Heal Bell

Mainly used as support for Haxorus, Gardevoir's Fairy typing and Heal Bell have saved Haxorus numerous times. Since an opponent would only send out a Garchomp against DD Haxorus, it's pretty easy to predict the incoming Dragon Claw. Gardevoir gets a free switch in and is then free to cure any status problems Haxorus may have accumulated. Also, having an issue with Azumarill and to avoid being walled by Steels, thunderbolt was the fourth move choice.

Breloom @ Focus Sash

Ability: Technician

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Jolly Nature

  • Bullet Seed

  • Mach Punch

  • Rock Tomb

  • Spore

With Talonflame being ever present, Breloom provides a nice check. Survive the Brave Bird, counter with Rock Tomb. Ever move gets the Technician boost for the most power. Even if the opponent decides to switch and predicts the Rock Tomb, the Speed drop usually allows for an easy KO. He also serves as a second check to Azumarill and a nice check for Cloysters that might trouble Haxorus.

Zoroark @ Choice Specs

Ability: Illusion

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

  • Flamethrower

  • Extrasensory

  • Hidden Power [Ice]

  • Night Daze

The mind games Zoroark can play are astounding, especially in conjunction with my physical Greninja. If I see a Ferrothorn, I can send out Zoroark disguised as Greninja for an easy KO as most don't switch out on a Greninja. Greninja being a common lead just makes it even more convincing. I can also scare off some of the Pokemon Greninja checks like Gliscor for a more favorable match up like Ferrothorn or Scizor that normally check Greninja.

Azumarill @ Choice Band

Ability: Huge Power

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Adamant Nature

  • Aqua Jet

  • Waterfall

  • Play Rough

  • Ice Punch

Simple Choice Banded Azumarill. Not much to say about him other than that he's the weakest link on the team. He's up for easy replacement if I can find something more suitable.

Greninja @ King's Rock

Ability: Protean

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

Hasty Nature

  • Acrobatics

  • Waterfall

  • Fling

  • Ice Beam

Another neat little surprise, physical Greninja. I've had quite a few Venasuar switch in expecting to survive the Ice Beam only to flinch from King's Rock and get KOd by Acrobatics. What's more, nobody really expects the Ice Beam after seeing that it's a physical Greninja. I've had Gliscor and Garchomp switch back in only to take an Ice Beam for an easy KO.
