Carbink
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Careful ( SpD, -SpA)
EVs: 252 HP, 128 Def, 1228 SpD
Item: Mental Herb
- Stealth Rock
- Light Screen
- Explosion
- Safegaurd
I usually start with Carbink to lay down a layer of Stealth Rock and set up walls for the rest of my team before using Explosion to weaken a pokemon and allow me to switch in for either an easy revenge kill or more setting up. The Mental Herb cures Taunt as of Gen-V so I use it with sturdy to assure the Stealth Rock gets out at least. After setting up Stealth Rock and Light Screen, I'll either use Safeguard then Explosion, or just Explosion depending on the situation.
M-Aggron
Ability: Filter
Nature: Careful ( SpD, -SpA)
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 Spe
Item: Aggronite
- Thunder Wave
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
Aggron usually comes out right after Carbink to fully take advantage of the Light Screen set up beforehand. His main purpose is to use Thunder Wave to paralyze an enemy pokemon and then use Dragon Tail to force a switch and repeat until most of their team is paralyzed. Since both Fairy types and Electric types stop this strategy with their immunities to Dragon Tail and Thunder Wave respectively, Iron Head and Earthquake are there to remove any of these two types. For ground types, I just use Dragon Tail since they resist Thunder Wave.
Tyranitar
Ability: Sand Stream
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Def, 4 HP
Item: Assault Vest
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Ice Fang
With most of the opponents pokemon now paralyzed, Tyranitar can out speed most of the opposing team. With the combination of the Assault Vest and Sandstorms boost to SpD, Tyrannitar also acts as a tank. Stone Edge and Crunch are used for STAB bonus while Earthquake and Ice Fang are used as coverage for the pokemon Aggron previously wouldv'e been unable to paralyze.
Haxorus
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Adamant ( Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Choice Band
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
- Outrage
Haxorus main job is to sweep while also breaking and Reflect or Light Screen the other team may have. Choice Band Outrage can 1HKO or 2HKO most pokemon without any problems. If I'm forced up against a Fairy, Poison Jab works well enough to at least weaken them for a revenge kill. Earthquake is used to take care of any Steel Types that would normally resist Outrage.
Greninja
Ability: Protean
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 Atk
Item: Life Orb
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- U-Turn
Greninja is used as a second sweeper with the Life Orb and Protean allowing him to 1HKO most pokemon weak to its attacks. U-Turn is used in case of a bad match up or to scout.
Gyarados
Ability: Moxie
Nature: Jolly ( Spe, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Cell Battery
- Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Dragon Dance
Gyarados is the surprise factor on my team. If an opponent KOs one of my pokemon with a pokemon I kno has an electric attack or is Electric type, I switch into Gyarados. First turn I use Dragon Dance to up my speed high enough to beat any non-scarf using pokemon except Mega-Alakazam, Mega- Aerodactyl, Deoxys, and Ninjask. Assuming the opponent uses and electric attack, I get a free turn plus a boost to my attack from both the Cell Battery and Dragon Dance. From there, he can sweep entire teams with the boost from Moxie making each attack even stronger.
