Hello,
I am interested in study abroad, specifically in Tanzania. However, the U.S. Dept. of State lists that they have a Level 4 travel advisory. I know that part of this is due to COVID-19, but they also list crime, terrorism, and LGBT violence. I will be avoiding the areas specifically listed at high risk of terrorism and will not openly associate myself with LGBT. Given this, I am wondering if the whole of Tanzania is really worthy of a Level 4 advisory?
I would only be attending a ~2 month summer program. Additionally, if anyone has any info on the Rhotia area (~2 hours west of Arusha), I would love to hear it.
