Hello all, I'm looking for any/all information on the ISSA letting agency.
After a bit of searching, we have narrowed down our search to two houses owned by two different agencies. The first is owned by the university, is of a slightly older make, and is slightly shabbier, but is functional and fairly cheap. The other property is nicer than the former, and is around the same price, but is held by a independant letting agency, which is ISSA.
I have a preference for the former property, but not an overwhelming bias, and most of my preference comes from the fact that the student letting agency seems to care a little more about students, and has a firmer grasp on the landlords.
The problem I have with ISSA is that they're a fairly new company, and almost no one has heard of them. Our group stumbled on them by chance, and the student services (who have been very good at giving advice on what agencies to avoid, and have a catalogue on the subject) have not heard of them either. What is also worrying is a lack of impartial online reviews.
I'm not saying the company is new and therefore bad, but would it be a safer bet to go with an agency run house? Rather than test the waters, as it were.
