Post Body

Iā€™m23, 24 on Saturday I had a stroke as a result of falling asleep behind the wheel of a car in may of 2019. 4 days later I woke up from a coma not even realizing the left side of my body was affected I didnā€™t entirely understand the hill I would have to begin to climb until I was transported to Shepherd Center in Atlanta Georgia to begin the first 6 months of my recovery during which every therapist I worked with reminded me to ā€œuse it or loose itā€ and since being discharged on November 8th of 2019 I have lived by those 5 words every day so my Advice to anyone riding the wave of a stroke is to ā€œuse it or loose itā€ even if at first you arenā€™t able to do what you are trying to accomplish if you just use it as much as you can you will recover donā€™t let failure stop you push on and accomplish your goals because you arenā€™t alone
