Iām23, 24 on Saturday I had a stroke as a result of falling asleep behind the wheel of a car in may of 2019. 4 days later I woke up from a coma not even realizing the left side of my body was affected I didnāt entirely understand the hill I would have to begin to climb until I was transported to Shepherd Center in Atlanta Georgia to begin the first 6 months of my recovery during which every therapist I worked with reminded me to āuse it or loose itā and since being discharged on November 8th of 2019 I have lived by those 5 words every day so my Advice to anyone riding the wave of a stroke is to āuse it or loose itā even if at first you arenāt able to do what you are trying to accomplish if you just use it as much as you can you will recover donāt let failure stop you push on and accomplish your goals because you arenāt alone
