Sharing here cuz people in r/sober are fucking weird about folks being successfully sober while working in an environment with alcohol 🤷♀️
It's been way easier than I thought it would be, and the clarity has helped me narrow down my other health problems so I can deal with that (turns out that Wellbutrin causes stomach ulcers. Oops.)
I'm proud of myself. The amount of fear and anxiety I felt prior to taking this step was so much worse than actually doing the damn thing. Life hasn't gotten easier by any means, but taking the time and space to actually feel my feelings at an appropriate time has massively helped my work anxiety. I will say that I'm still struggling with my introvertedness at the club, but I'm making money regardless and I'm just taking things one day at a time.
Shout out to the rest of my sober babes in here holding this shit down and sticking it to the haters and naysayers ❤️
