I'm a dancer from NZ where we get 70-80% of our tips normally as most clubs have their own currency and cash is going extinct. Coming to Aussie I'm pretty shocked to discover taking 50% of tips is common. How the hell is this justified ESPECIALLY when you also take a stage fee? Like I get we pay a cut of our lap dance money as we are hiring a space but taking half our tips feels so fucking rude, especially when Aussie doesn't do tip rounds. I know in the states you get cash tips - is it normal that you guys get to keep them all? I'm curious about how tipping works in other countries as I didn't expect it to be so different between NZ and aus. Is it just NZ that does tip rounds or is it a thing in other clubs/countries too?
