I’m wondering how you guys like to wear your hair. I just started and was wearing shoulder length curly braids. They were cute and I did well enough even with them in. And even though my clubs clientele is VERY mixed- I feel like the fact that I’m black already puts me at a slight disadvantage with some customers. I live in a blue state but the area is v middle of nowhere where hunting guns n shit. I’d never have come to this club if my husband hadn’t gone first and been like oh it’s nice.

I’m also quite light skinned, people regularly ask me what I am “black” ..for real? “Yeeep both my parents are black, I’m just light”. So I feel like the straight hair will add to my apparent “racial ambiguity”.

Anyway I just installed my sew in once again and straightened the hell out of these kinky curly bundles. It silkier than it’s ever been and I am ready to hair flip my way into a bag this week lol. But seriously I am interested to see if I will do better with straight hair!

(Also anyone who does wigs PLEASE how do you wear them without them flipping up in the back when you do pole tricks?? Are we sewing them down? Using clips? TIA)
