I’ve been reading post after post of people talking about their knee/leg/thigh bruising when they are just starting out. I’ve seen some people say you get used to it/your body builds a tolerance AND I’ve seen people say if you want to save your knees were knee pads or socks.
But I’m a lover of my pole tricks, especially ones where I need my knee pit to stick. I also find my ass moves the best from all 4s- SICK and unfair 😫. Even if I was brave enough to be the trend setter and wear knee pads, I wouldn’t be able to do some of my tricks. I need someone to make cute sparkly knee pads that leave your knee pit exposed. It’s the same with socks- they’re cute and I’ve been wearing knee highs for some protection & to hide my best up knees but I can’t grip da pole :(
Does it ever actually get better?? Or does anyone have any alternative protection besides socks/leg warmers or knee pads?? I made peace with eventually needing knee surgery years ago. I’m hyper mobile and have always had knee pain/issues (I have osgood-schlatters disease!!). So part of me is used to it but also I don’t want to make it worse faster. And my bruising isn’t even that bad thankfully but every day I end up with a new bruise or a friction burn and idek how I’m doing that. I just black out and dance too hard I guessðŸ˜
