And boy did things change… for the worst.
I used to strip at a strictly no extras club in Canada 6-7 years ago. Even being passive, I was able to make really decent money. Sometimes over 1000$. I live in a major city and this club doesn’t require a license since it’s outside the city core.
I just had my first night back at the same club and thankfully I had a tipsy guy give me 100$ for 3 dances, otherwise I didn’t make anything. Guys didn’t want dances, girls weren’t friendly and there were barely any customers to work with. I felt incredibly discouraged and walked out. I don’t remember feeling this humiliated being in the sex industry in general. I know the economy isn’t like it was pre-COVID, but there’s no reason for a club to be THIS dead. Or should I try a club in the downtown core and just get the license?
