Even when I look very natural, or “naturally pretty,” or in some cases “busted” (maybe I was in a hurry to get ready that day/rushing…), I never get any bad comments from guys.
if anything, it seems like it is more I imitating to be in a dressing room changing up close & personal right next to other women. (The dressing room is kind of small at my club…)
Guys do compliment my perfume.
But guys don’t really notice if I have light makeup vs. a full beat, guys don’t know the density of eyelashes, guys don’t know that we draw our eyebrows on, guys can’t recognize if an outfit is fashionnova… and the list goes on and on. You get where I’m going with this?
I don’t care to impress the other women
Does anyone else understand what I am talking about? Like you feel like the other women are judging you? (Even though your response from men is usually positive: beautiful, hot, pretty, sexy, gorgeous, cute, attractive, etc.)
I feel like ladies dress for other ladies, if that makes sense. I mean, not literally, but. You know. We often get validation and/or judgment for the other female dancers… and not necessarily from the men. I hope that makes sense…
Let me know if you can relate.
