I have been in the strip game for many years (started at 19, off & on throughout the years, and am 29 now).
Idk if this is gonna sound like a “dumb” question, or naive, or just common sense, but — how did stripping today, as we know it, come to be? Like, when I see and work in strip clubs I can’t help but wonder, like, did a bunch of men just gather around and have a meeting and decide to build these places with a stage and champagne rooms and couches and install poles, etc…? 🤔
Like I genuinely feel confused by this. It seems weird to me.
Like, I wonder about the conversations that were had. Like, the assumption is, yeah, totally, if we build these places then females will come to dance here…
And if you’ll notice, a lot of these clubs are located in very random places, like inside of a strip mall, or industrial areas, and whatnot. I guess that makes sense, right? I mean obviously they can’t open up a gentlemen’s club right next to a school, or residential, and things like that…
It’s just very fascinating to me.
I get it from a business standpoint. I just find it mindblowing that I’ve been doing this profession for as long as I have, for so many years, and never really took the time to look more deeply into the history of it…
Maybe it seems super obvious, but yeah. I’ve just been wondering about that a lot lately…
🤔
Thoughts? 💭
I’m amazed at how it has changed & evolved over the years…
Thank you for your response! Great information! 👏
This answer was very helpful. Thank you so much for putting it into perspective for me! 🙏🏽🩷
I know but why is it now mostly trap music?
And ppl having their bodies done?
This is an excellent take. I often wonder about this too! 👏👏
