This summer I stayed in a different state and worked there for 3 months, didn’t move there, was still paying my rent back at home.
Simply put: Question is would the money I put down for the motel I stayed at car rental be considerable for write offs? I didn’t have to be there technically, my club at home was still open, I was just needing a change for a little bit so I left home for a couple months. I don’t want it to look suspicious so I probably wouldn’t write ALL of it off.
Thank you!!
Travel expenses are a write off if related to business. If you did business in another state you need to file taxes in whatever state you did business in. Ask your CPA for help
