Ambulance had to pick my crying ass up off the stage and take me to the ER in a thong with money stuck to me. Friendly reminder that this job isn’t worth your health or safety. Doing cool tricks is all good and fun but don’t push yourself seriously. Happy thanksgiving! I’m thankful for my coworkers for taking care of me, and the sweetest nurse in the world who held my hand while they flipped my knee back around 💛🦃
Y’all REAL SHIT please be fucking careful when exiting splits! I had no idea the danger! When your back leg is flat to the floor your knee is relaxed enough for your knee cap to be mobile. When I rolled to the side to exit, my knee cap flipped around. Doc said what I did is the most common way to dislocate a knee cap. From now on I’m doing jade splits and showing off my flexibility on my back.
Thank you babe 💜. I stg my leg looked like a scene from the exorcist 😭
Girl I’ve been a dancer since I was 3 years old a scorpion split was nothing new to me. This can happen to ANYONE. No matter how many years of ballet, tap, cheer, and gymnastics I have under my belt my joints are made of human flesh babes. Anyone who can do over splits has already put a considerable amount of training, practice, and skill into their craft. This is no beginner injury and your experience as a pole fitness girlie won’t save you.

Recovery isn’t too bad! I didn’t break anything. I’m wearing an immobilizer/using crutches for the next 2 weeks. Then I need to follow up with ortho and they’ll tell me if/when I could go back to work. I’ll probably only be out of work a month
