Congrats to all for seeing us through to the end of our first season here on Stress Free Xmas! I've been thinking about this sappy post for a while now, wondering how I can ever express my thanks to y'all enough. Bear with me as I get in the Christmas spirit and say nice things.
As many of you have heard, this sub came together in a tornado. Up and running in under 24 hours. Our mods have all been around giving subs for a long time now, and know what it takes to run a safe community. I'm still in awe of the fact that we got this sub up and running with an auto moderator, a bot, and like, 1000 spreadsheets.
I have received many positive messages/comments thanking me for creating this sub. Yes, I clicked the "create subreddit" button all by myself, but this sub is not remotely me. My health isn't all it could be, so after setting up the initial sub, I basically left and napped the weeks away. These are the elves who truly ran everything:
/u/SFhotchocolate - "The Actual Boss" This sub 1000% would not exist without you. I know all that you've done for us, and it's immense. I'll never be able to properly say thank you, so enjoy this public expression of my love!
/u/DaqsElfonaShelf - without question one of the hardest (and sassiest) workers. Y'all may not have seen this elf much on the sub, but they work EXTREMELY hard behind the scenes, probably working on registrations 12 hours a day, minimum. I'm kinda glad requesting is done so now we can go back to having time to chat instead of business associates, basically hahaha. You know I love you <3
/u/dundeeGal - dual thanks: 1. for being a wonderful Santa, and 2. for everything you have done/are already planning for next year. This is another mod you may not see around the comments much (unless she's shopping!) but did so much behind the scenes...and already has plans for 2021! I'm so excited. I'm so thankful I know you <3
/u/procrastinator2112 - much like Dundee, thanks for being a Santa and a very active mod who takes initiative! Helping out in modmail, or making sure all the posts are up and running, or trying new things like a daily chat! We're all indebted to you for all you've done <3
/u/Nibiru_realm - little Nibblet <3 Not only are you a hard worker, but you're such a funny, loving guy. I'm so glad to have you on the mod team, helping run everything both behind the scenes and out front. This would not have been possible without you, honestly. I knew you were a great snag when less than 12 hours after starting you and the others (Turtle!) had created the banner and format.
/u/ninajyang - I feel like this is a RAoC thank you, haha. I'm endlessly thankful for you from the moment I messaged you to beg you to come onboard. And of course, you being you JUMPED. Thank you for helping organize, thank, track, and keep us all sane <3 I'm so, so thankful you're more a part of my life now.
/u/surlyjurly - definitely one of the hardest workers behind the scenes. Y'all may not have seen this one around much, but if you were gifted, it's probably because they worked very hard at making that happen. Plus, you're bright, funny and beautiful. I'm so glad I've gotten to know you more through this all.
/u/Turtle_Sensei - you just jumped in here like no tomorrow. Endless thanks for keeping your eye on all the posts, welcoming people, answering questions and just generally being great (plus the contest!) When I dipped out and ignored all new posts, I knew the sub was in great hands. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
/u/krispy1981 - I am so thankful you're a mod here. I know you can't be here as much as you'd like, but I do love seeing you around the sub. Hopefully 2021 will help quiet the real world and then you can come play more here next year :)
/u/iamjustyou - Y'all may not have seen her out and aboot the sub that much, but she was a BIG player behind the scenes. Girl, you busted your ass starting a full time job and this sub at the same time. I know you put in 100% of yourself into the sub, and I am forever thankful you're my friend <3 Please never stop being a mod. Ever.
/u/whatelsecouldiwrite - Endless thanks for your willingness to help. Another "Nina" - I messaged begging for help and you were just like, "yep, whaddya need?" Then I left you in the dark, but you came gifting anyways, hahaha! I'm so thankful for your support. We'll have some naughty fun next year, I promise :)
/u/notbannedlilshawn - one of our major mods from our sister sub Stress Free! I know you couldn't be here like you wanted, but I'm still so thankful for your support. Just having you on the mod team means a lot
/u/daqsscamhunter - if you're a Santa, you must thank this one. Let the username speak for itself. I know you had so much going on personally and yet you gave, what? 12 hours a day to this sub? I'll never be able to thank you enough for coming on board.
/u/dmbandit - ...who the fuck are you? hahahahaha <3
and last but certainly not least:
- /u/allthedaquiries - this is you. This is your doing. You have such a beautiful heart and I'm so thankful I know you. I think I've spoken to you once or twice since this sub went up, but that's 'cause the boss kept me busy. I'm happy that I'll have more time now to sit down with you and the rest of the group and be friends again!
Okay, TRULY last but not least: The Santas. I have no idea where 99% of you came from to be honest! It's been amazing to have unwavering support from so many people willing to give. And just Santa after Santa after Santa coming out of no where to give and clear lists. Y'all made my cold, dead heart grow at LEAST three sizes. This whole idea does not work without your generosity. So whether you bought a single gift, or 100, THANK YOU <3
Alright well that's the most work I've done all week. Time for a break!
