Custom Garment sizing question. Not positive how to ask exactly what im thinking. More info below.

So a friend and I are starting a brand. We want to have our clothes manufactured after we cut and sew a few more sample pieces. My question is, we are currently just making things to our sizing that fits us. (No formal training/schooling for either of us)So lets say I make this shirt for myself and say “I usually wear a large so this is a large” how to I determine my dimensions for Small or Bigger sizes so that the shirts are proportional in varying sizes?
