What game to pick for stream category

I'm finally getting back into streaming and have decided to play Final Fantasy from the very beginning. I know that if select each individual game as I stream them, I probably won't get very many viewers in that category. When people stream Pokemon, it is very commonplace for them to stream any Pokemon game under the newest game's category. Is this an accepted practice for most games from a large series?
