Does true reality lie beyond mind?

Post Body

Realizing that mind is inherently illusory, I sit in order to go beyond it. My most recent breakthrough was that the sense of observer/observed is now one, but there's still mind.

(Read a random Frankie Yang post in which he said that if there is the slightest hint of an observer, there is still mind to shred. Either my understanding is flawed, he's flawed or something else entirely lol)

There is however the knowledge and sense of mind being mind. As in, when I am formulating a thought or a thought comes, I know it is because I am thinking that it is. A toilet paper roll comes with the associations of what it is. I know that reality/Being is before even such formations.

I admit my insight practices aren't refined enough to penetrate moment-by-moment sensation, but I have had enough glimpses to trust the suttas.

(I've read most of this material 15 years before, but I need to experience it directly.)

Currently my practice is just Being all the time, regardless what I am doing. I'm adapting something I read in a Tolle book, to drop all stories no matter how justified they are. I have a long history of abuse and trauma - it's "real" (and justified) but it's also not real, because it assumes there was a self that could be abused and traumatized. If I allow myself to sit and untangle the chains that "seem" to cause reality...(or rather they untangle themselves...well, dependent origination reveals itself)

(While I'm grateful for the concerns people have about my mental health, I've spent five figures and 20 years in therapy. I'm well enough to seek the Truth.)
