Stratux for sailing

I wanted to see if the community had any knowledge of a cross use application for my Stratux.
I am taking part in a long distance sailing event and one of the weather apps offers routing and has an Iridium pod. Made me think of my Stratux and wondered if there was any way to use it while out on the water.
