Now that this has happened to me it seems obvious but it really put a wrench in some plans I had brewing so I’m gonna warn you guys too.

If you have a male and female barn animal, they can mate even if you don’t initiate breeding in the ledger.

I was waiting for my cow to be ready to breed with my new star cow male, but I just found out my sheep is pregnant on her own with my male sheep. Which is cool, and fine, but now I must wait for my cows even longer. So if you have a female and male animal just know they might decide to breed without your input!

I didn’t realize that my spotted male cow could mate with my normal cow lol. Now I have a baby cow on the way
