To make a long story short one of my PC's is a Forge Domain Shield Dwarf from Mithral Hall. He's going through a "Runewarden" quest which, has him collect all fragments of creation that made the axe of the dwarvish lords. After many sessions, all fragments to the axe have been obtained. Now comes the hard part.... The axe itself. I'm thinking of giving it to him outright but as a rusty, beaten and generally useless axe, probably by an aspect of Moradin and having him return to Mithral Hall to re-craft and restore the axe to its full potential. I was gonna have a battle happen once the axe is restored, just so it's not as easy as sitting through some RP. If anyone has any better ideas on how to go about bestowing such a legendary item to a character, please, let me know!
