I killed a gopher on earth day

Post Body

Ok you guys are going to HATE me for this but I’ll share this sorry anyway. So there I was hanging out wit friends at lunch in school and a little gopher pokes his head out. Everyone looks at him and awws. My friend walks up to it and the gopher then slowly backs up into its hole. I stare at the gopher with its head still partially sticking out and thought to just throw my heavy ass water bottle at it since I kinda hate gophers and I thought it was going to scurry back into its hole anyway. I prepare my bottle by holding it in the air ready to throw but what I didn’t notice was my friend backing up. This prompted the gopher to FULLY CRAWL OUT of its hole with its whole body just fully out of there. It came out the second I threw my bottle and when I see it got hi, I run to check what happened and there it was, sitting there with its jaw wide open with 1 leg working. It seemed dazed so it looked around and I made eye contact with it. The open jaw dangling from its face as it broke eye contact to find its hole was horrifying. It very slowly, as slow as a turtle with 1 hand crawled back in. I had the opportunity to put it out of its misery but I didn’t think of that and instead, it’s going to suffer before shortly perishing. All on earth day. This story is not fake and I have people in my school prove it. My friend also has a video but I didn’t ask for it.

Needless to say my friends bullied me for doing that and I’m glad it’s the weekend so I don’t have to show my face tomorrow.
