Hey everyone!
Thought of sharing my humble milestone with you, hoping it would motivate you towards a better healthy lifestyle.
I quit on the 6th of June 2022, which is exactly 143 days today, I used to smoke a pack and a half daily of Marlboro red for the past 8 years, started off at half a pack a day until two years ago when I reached 30 cigs daily.
My health, energy levels and stamina were extremely low, this is one of the reasons why I decided to quit. I would go jogging with some of my "healthier" friends, only to find myself out of breath and about to throw up after 300 meters of jogging.
For the past two months I've been hitting the treadmill and jumping rope 4 times a week, trying to improve my breathing, my stamina and my overall physical ability.
Finally, past week I did a 5k run in less than 40 mins, and yesterday I did it in 36 mins exact. Which is a reason to celebrate for me!
My next goal is 30 mins, we'll see how long that will take.
If I can do it, you can do it! I'm hoping you share your stories to further inspire everyone here.
