3 months - thoughts
Post Body
So I got to 3 months today - very proud. It wasn't easy - especially the first two weeks - but it's way easier today. Thoughts:
- You need support/accountability from friends. And family. And an app. And anything else you can find.
- You simply cannot avoid situations where there is smoking. I live in Vegas, where smoking is everywhere. It seemed at first like I'd never be able to go into a casino again. Just go. Don't smoke. It will be fine. I swear.
- Find a replacement. It was exercise for me. I've always liked to lift, but swimming made it so I could exercise 6 days a week without burnout. And smoking seems stupid when you exercise a lot.
- Relish in the benefits. More money (I've saved $1000 in 3 months), time (you don't realize how much time you stand around doing nothing when you smoke), sex drive (yes, and thank you), etc.
You can do it. You will do it. You MUST do it.
