One of the things I found most helpful about quitting was having this sub pop up every now and then to remind me it’s never worth going back.
Here’s my best $.02 for anyone struggling.
I’m a drinker, and I LOVED cigarettes. Bad combo.
It took me around 2 years to fully quit. But I had a plan that worked out well.
The hardest part was to get my self down from 1/2 pack to one after meals. And one last with my night cap before heading off to bed.
And I kept with it for about 6 months. Occasionally id socially smoke, or have a couple at the bar, but it still only increased me to 5/6 a day.
Then the big change: only 1 or two at the end of the day for another 4 to 6 months. Usually with my glass of wine. Before bed.
And then one day I got the flu. And.. just kinda stopped smoking.
A year and a half later and my lungs are still healing but my energy is through the roof!
