As the title says. I am an immigrant and will be alone tonight. Well with my cat. Fridge is full of NA beer and I will work on my doctorate and watch a movie after. The person I am in love with is over with me and on another continent. I am doing this whole 'flying solo' somewhat on purpose, learning to be alone and sober at the same time. Also, never felt thay New Year celebrations are special, but damn, I woke up today with the thought: 'I wanna get drunk." Sober for over 3 months and when cravings come they are usually: "I want to have a beer", not like today. Dealing with being alone was easier when I was drunk every night.

No idea why I am writing this, just venting I guess.
