Hey guys. Currently something like 33 days sober. It has been a wild journey. I originally stopped drinking because:
A. I was drinking multiple drinks every night, almost every night. B. I had a really bad hangover that really put things in perspective for me. C. My hangxiety was so bad for days and I ultimately realized I just needed to detox.
At this point I’m doing really well. I have never had cravings for alcohol, still don’t. My anxiety has gotten a lot better, but at night it still gets a little dicey.
I’m wondering what everyone’s thought on having one drink maximum a night to help with anxiety / stress is? Has anyone sobered up, had bad anxiety, started drinking a beer or other light drink every night / other night and experienced a good balance? I’m not talking like liquor or anything, more like a small glass of wine, small beer, etc.
Sorry, just trying to specify and see if anyone else has any stories / success stories / etc. I’m not worried about going back to drinking as much as I used to, I never want to go back to that and I know I won’t. But I’m curious what people’s thoughts and experiences are.
