I think I kindled myself
Post Body

Long story short, I (33/m) am now experiencing withdrawal symptoms after each weekend binge. Waking up covered in sweat, extreme anxiety and panic attacks the days after a binge. I was never a daily drinker or weekday drinker, but a hard binger once a week. From what I read, binge drinking with periods of no alcohol lead to kindling faster than if I was a daily drinker and stopped every now and then. Is this true?

I think I fucked myself now. I have had a couple trips to the ER in the past 2-3 years due to extreme panic attacks that I now know were from alcohol withdrawals. And the reason why I have high blood pressure and cholesterol but my doctor isn't sure why (I have not told them I have a drinking problem). My blood pressure spikes happen out of the blue at times then lead to a full blown panic attack.

I will say, I already suffer from an anxiety disorder and panic attacks without alcohol in the mix, but I think alcohol has exacerbated it. But the days following a weekend binge are pure hell, and are no longer a "hangover".
