I’m not particularly religious or anything, so I haven’t celebrated much for a few years now. I live close to 2000 miles from family, and this time last year I was jobless with pretty much no will to live.
Then the best thing happened. I adopted a dog around Thanksgiving in 2018. I’m healthier, happier, and have a new job and home. I bought a Christmas tree and small decorations, and bought a ton of presents for my little guy. I have a reason to celebrate rather than numb myself. Merry Christmas, Channukah Sameach, and happy holidays to the rest.
What’s your reason to celebrate?
TL;DR: adopted a dog and improved my life. Merry Christmas y’all.
