I know it goes against the rules of the house, but I am looking for people's opinion and advice. My brother is also an alcoholic and has string together a couple of years sober a couple of times. We've had a few conversations recently that lead me to believe he may have fallen off the wagon again. I asked him today and he said he had been feeling the urge to drink, but was still sober and had a good support group.
Since that conversation, I have found out that he indeed is drinking again. But he clearly wasn't ready for me to know because he didn't tell me when I asked this morning.
So, my question is do I call him on it and try to get him back into recovery? Or do I respect the fact that he's not ready and stay close so I am here when he is?
