I've been listening to cold war kids - vacation a lot lately and always get some feels when he gets to the " I promised my wife and children " part. What are some other good songs that can make me feel that way. Either about the depressing side of drinking or the pros of sobriety. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Was here about 2 years ago. Small intro, threatened my wife after having our first son. Got sober through aa and anti anxietys. Became pretty awesome. We had our second son and my drinking buddy ( ex-wife ) went back to our old habits. I managed to stay sober though not easy. I eventually couldn't keep up the charade and after 6 months of begging, I left her.

Moved back home with mom 2000 miles away. Had probably the healthyiest relapse about a month ago after 2 years. Took 1 month to start drinking daily and hiding bottles and managed to actually, this time on my own terms decide I'm done. Getting a very very good career. Fighting for what is fair in custody and no matter how much she trys to take away from me I will never stop fighting for my boys and our deserved relationship. She's a great mom but just not the wife for me. I could explain the situation that made me feel comfortable leaving but know they are being taken care of very well for the time being.

Goals right now is to get my Shit fully together before they start having there first memories, so that they can be of a happy dad. So yeah hey sobriety is for me in fact and give me some tunes to remind my self that.

Edit: 1016 days if I had stayed true to my self. I'm more proud of these past 17 then anything else and above all else today's been the best.
