Still feels pretty god damn great 😌👌🏽
While I did experience the loss of a major friend that I had known since I was 14/15, I learned what it means to truly grieve sans the drink. In a lot of ways I'm still grieving, or at least processing.
But boy, does it feel good to generally have more control over my emotions as opposed to being an anxious, withdrawaling, moody mess of a person.
For instance, a while back, after my friend had passed, I was on my way home from work and had been reminiscing to the point that I had to pull over to have a good cry. I pulled up to a gas pump, put the car in park and had a bawl (lmao see what I did there). I re-registered for therapy shortly thereafter, don't worry! Had I been still drinking, I don't know what I would have done, but certainly not that lol
Anyway, thanks for reading!
