It’s been 94 days since I last drank, which was New Year’s Eve, which was pretty brutal lol. I’ve been to a few social gatherings but have said no when I’ve been offered. It feels great to say I’ve been clean and with absolutely zero alcohol for this long. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten this far since I was like 17.
Alcohol is so normalized and romanticized it’s crazy. Im super proud of myself for saying no and for staying clean. A while ago I had listened to the Huberman lab podcast with Dr. Huberman and he had said you needed to abstain from alcohol for months so your brain can rewire back to normal. He had also mentioned that even one drink a day or in a week is bad.
I don’t know how long I’ll keep going without it. If I get to 4-6 months I’ll be super happy. If I make it to a year, I’ll show off lol. Im sure I can drink responsibly but I just want to be super healthy. Anyways, Im happy and not having to deal with hangovers and throwing up. YEY!
P.S. I also haven’t smoked cigs or vaped. So I kind of quit cold turkey with all tree. Hell yeah💪🏼
