I learned I have to be completely sober from everything to stop drinking
Post Body

I made a post I since deleted that asked if getting high off of anything else to replace alcohol was cheating. About two weeks sober, I ended popping a few pain relievers one night to “feel something.” Well the next day I had no intentions of drinking but when the night rolled around I wanted to feel good like the night before. I didn’t have any more pills so wouldn’t you know I turned back to the bottle and here I am a week binge later. But hey, I learned something about myself. It wasn’t all for nothing. Here’s to day one..again.
