As the title suggests I'm two weeks into sobriety after a year or two of what is considered as excessive drinking by the NHS (3 x 750ml bottles of Sake a week is around 35 units).
I've handled two weekends, a music gig and next week is a party which might be my biggest test yet.
What I'm wondering is why have I not noticed any benefits yet? Only downsides really, its so hard to sleep! I guess I wouldn't be in the 'heavy drinker' camp as I wasn't ever blackout drunk or badly hungover. Do the benefits of sobriety only count for those hard-core individuals?
