I drank a bottle of sake every other night so around 750ml 3x a week. Interspersed with a couple bottles of beer. I'd maybe have 1 or 2 nights a week I didn't drink.
My partner isn't a drinker and so got alarmed by my drinking habits and asked me to stop. Dry January and all, so I thought why not.
I'm 5 days in and feeling 0 of the touted benefits of sobriety. No extra energy, no better sleep, no extra mental clarity etc. If anything I feel more tired of an evening with less energy!
Question is: was I never in the drinking category where I was doing enough damage to get benefits when I quit, or will these come further down the line?
