When do you start feeling normal again?

I've been drinking for the nearly 8-10years now (I'm 27 in February). I'm up to 7-10 shots of tequila a day. I'm tapering myself off bc I fear of a seizure or liver failure. I'm wondering how long it takes to feel normal and not crave anything. I'm repulsed already with drinking and I hate doing it but physically I can't stop completely.
I know dopamine levels are in the negative if I'm sober which lasts a long time but...how long?
