Completely sober! Actually I still have to fly home but I’m at my gate and not at an airport bar.

I visited two different cities on this trip and met up with two different sets of friends. One group was never big drinkers but the other one was/is. I feel so grateful that it seems like our friendships and my participation in them transcends alcohol. I know I will have times where I see old friends and it ends up not the case.

Traveling has usually been a big drinking event for me, starting with drinks on the plane to manage anxiety about flying. And one of my destinations was freaking NEW ORLEANS!! I had an NA beer while watching some music. I definitely felt the itch (I don’t normal deal with physical compulsions) being in the quarter at night and soda wasn’t cutting it. Very grateful for the venue having something.

Today I will not drink with you!!
