I’m worried about going to an AlAnon or Celebrate Recovery meeting because I work adjacent to law enforcement.

It’s likely that I’d see individuals that know me as playing on the “side” of those that have been responsible for their jailing/incarceration. I have a good reputation in that area (even among those that were negatively impacted). But, I also don’t want it spread around that I’m dealing with a dependency issue. It could impact my current position and, likely, future aspirations that I carry.
How seriously do patrons of these two organizations honor the concept of anonymity in your experience?
